J&W Mobile Detailing in Oakland is hiring a Car Detailing Technician to join our fast-growing, hands-on team. You’ll wash, clay, polish, and wax exteriors and deep-clean interiors, while delivering quality results daily.

We provide paid training, clear opportunities to advance to Lead Technician, and a compensation model that includes hourly pay plus tips and opportunities for upsell commissions. You will work outdoors and indoors as needed.

• Wash, clay, polish, and wax vehicle exteriors to a high-quality finish.
• Deep clean interiors — vacuuming, shampooing, leather conditioning, stain and odor removal.
• Apply ceramic coatings, sealants, and paint protection products.
• Inspect vehicles before and after service to ensure every detail is dialed in.
• Keep your work area, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Communicate with customers about their vehicle's needs and recommend services.
• Work as part of a team to keep jobs moving efficiently without cutting corners.

What You'll Do

• Wash, clay, polish, and wax vehicle exteriors to a high-quality finish.

What We're Looking For

• Some experience in auto detailing, car washing, or a similar hands-on role is a plus — but attitude matters more than resume.
• A genuine interest in cars and doing quality work.
• Reliable, on time, and ready to put in the effort.
• Able to stand, bend, and work with your hands for extended periods.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a shop environment.
• Valid driver's license preferred (you may need to move customer vehicles).
• Team player who takes feedback well and wants to keep improving.
• 18+ years old.

No certification required — we provide paid training and will teach you our process from day one.
