Job Summary:
Total Vehicle Transformation is currently hiring an experienced Car Audio/Visual & Telematics Installer to assist with upfitting vehicles at TVT.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing aftermarket audio systems, video components, lighting, security systems, telematics equipment (GPS tracking, fleet management systems, dash cams), and other 12V electronics in a variety of vehicles.

This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to run and conceal wiring cleanly, troubleshoot electrical systems, and ensure every installation meets our high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Install aftermarket audio systems including head units, amplifiers, speakers, and subwoofers.
• Install video components such as backup cameras, monitors, and dash cams.
• Install telematics equipment including GPS tracking devices and fleet management systems.
• Install vehicle lighting, security systems, and other 12V electronic accessories.
• Route, secure, and conceal wiring to maintain a clean, professional finish.
• Perform electrical wiring tasks including splicing, soldering, crimping, and proper circuit protection.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle interior panels, dashboards, and trim components safely.
• Troubleshoot electrical and system integration issues.
• Test all installed equipment to verify performance and reliability.
• Maintain organized work areas and adhere to company quality standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive electronics is a plus.
• Proven experience installing aftermarket car audio, telematics, and electronic systems.
• Strong understanding of 12V automotive electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling, for extended periods.
• Ability to work in shop environments with varying temperatures and conditions.
