Job summary

Elior School Dining is hiring a Kitchen Captain to lead a motivated kitchen team at Cardinal Charter Academy at Wendell. You’ll manage quality, portion control and creative food presentation in a fast-paced school dining setting.

You’ll ensure proper storage, safety procedures, and adherence to recipes while supporting staff growth and a positive cafeteria experience. The role emphasizes scratch cooking, guidance on culinary methods, and customer service in a full-time, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in a quality, high-volume setting with scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.

• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items.
• Customer service experience is required.
