The Captain functions as a supervisor overseeing Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more client sites.

The Captain ensures post orders are followed, rounds are completed, required reports are filed accurately and promptly, and proper authorities are notified in emergency situations. This role emphasizes leadership, oversight, and adherence to security protocols.

Qualifications

• Former law enforcement or military experience required.
• College degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• Five (5) years of security supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and disciplines personnel; documents coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Trains Security Officers and reviews post orders and assignment details with subordinates.
• Assists in payroll submission and scheduling; ensures adequate coverage for all posts.
• Meets with client representatives to ensure security requirements and quality customer service.
• Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
• Inspects posts and outlines tasks and responsibilities with subordinates.

• Proper authorities and clients are notified in emergency situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Coaching & Discipline: Coaches and disciplines personnel appropriately. Seeks guidance from company management or designated representatives as needed. Meets with employees to document coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Training & Oversight: Trains Security Officers and other company personnel. Reviews post orders and assignment details with subordinates.
• Payroll & Scheduling: Assists in payroll submission and personnel management. Ensures adequate coverage for all posts and positions in coordination with management.
• Client Interaction: Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to ensure all security requirements are met and quality customer service is provided.
• Reporting: Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
• Post Inspections: Inspects posts and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.

Supervisory Duties:

In accordance with applicable company policies, procedures, and compliance with state and federal laws, supervisory duties include:

• Interviewing, orienting, and training employees
• Planning, assigning, and directing work
• Coaching and appraising employee performance
• Rewarding and disciplining employees
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Making hiring and termination recommendations

Other Duties:

May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policies.
