This is a full-time on-site role in Belmar, NJ for a 100 ton Captain at Jersey Shore Whale Watch. The Captain will be responsible for leading whale watching tours, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew, navigating the vessel.

We are a thriving tour operator based in Belmar Marina, offering daily excursions along the Jersey Shore. Our operations run seven days a week, with multiple trips each day, providing our guests with unforgettable experiences on the water.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Captain with a 100-Ton Master License to helm our 100-foot passenger vessel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating large vessels and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate and navigate the vessel during scheduled tours.
2. Supervise and coordinate crew members to ensure smooth operations.
3. Engage with passengers, providing information and ensuring a memorable experience.
4. Conduct safety briefings and ensure compliance with all maritime regulations.
5. Perform routine vessel inspections and coordinate maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Valid 100-Ton Master License.
2. Strong knowledge of maritime safety protocols and regulations.
3. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
4. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
