Job summary

KeenLogic seeks a Nurse Substitute for the House of Representatives Childcare Center on Capitol Hill. The role provides health support, medical care, and emergency response to children and staff within a secure, policy-driven environment.

Assignments may be full-time or short-term, with shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, 8 hours per day, and occasional short notice. An active nursing license and HIPAA training are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN/LVN/RN license in the US.
• HIPAA training and confidentiality knowledge required.
• Experience in pediatric or childcare health settings preferred.
• Ability to maintain health records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine health checks and administer first aid.
• Monitor children for illness or injury and respond appropriately.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records.
• Communicate health concerns to HRCCC leadership and parents.
• Be prepared to handle emergency medical situations and follow protocols.
• Oversee medication administration and safety.
• Assist with health and safety policy compliance and related tasks.
