Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief Engineer, Planning and Project Development Division, Technical Support Branch, seeks a cost estimator to develop cost estimates for new construction, interior and exterior alterations, restorations, additions and repairs under its jurisdiction.

The role requires collaboration with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure estimates align with budgets, standards, and project scope, and to support budget projections using specialized software

Qualifications

• Specialized experience requirements per OPM GS-11/12/13: cost estimates for construction projects.
• Review cost estimates for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure estimates align with budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates for new construction, alterations, restorations, and repairs.
• Review and revise estimates to meet standards and project scope.
• Utilize SUCCESS Estimator, Cost-OS, or equivalent software for estimates.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure cost projections are accurate.
