• Track project spend and progress using Excel-based tools and dashboards.
• Partner with Operations and Marketing (capex strategy is set, you execute).
• Build and refine facilities and project management processes as the function scales.
• Operate independently while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.

Capital Projects Manager

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid: Mon–Thurs in office, Fridays remote)

About the Role

We are a high-growth rollup in the pet industry, rapidly expanding our footprint through acquisitions and rebranding of existing locations. We’re seeking a Capital Projects Manager to own and execute CapEx projects across our growing portfolio. This is a highly autonomous, execution-focused role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, process-light environment and enjoys building structure as they go. You’ll manage approximately 10 CapEx projects per quarter, supporting both newly acquired and existing locations. Projects are focused on rebranding and light remodels—such as signage, paint, and minor layout changes—rather than large-scale construction.

This role is ideal for a strong project manager who can juggle multiple initiatives, manage vendors and contracts, and build scalable processes as the company grows.

What You’ll Do
