Job summary

Reser’s Fine Foods is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to lead capital projects in our Beaverton, OR manufacture. You will design processes and layouts, drive continuous improvements, and present updates to leadership.

The role requires 5+ years in process manufacturing, strong lean knowledge, AutoCAD proficiency, and NA travel. Join a family-owned company known for quality and a history of growth in refrigerated foods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a process manufacturing environment required.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing with regard to equipment layout and process flow.
• 5+ years leading/managing complex capital plant projects with a proven track record required.
• Proficiency with reading and producing AutoCAD drawings required.
• Experience in a refrigerated food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of building/construction processes and related regulations.
• Ability to travel throughout North America.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages large scale projects from concepts to implementation; collaborates with cross-functional groups for value-added engineering.
• Designs new processes and production layouts to challenge current manufacturing processes.
• Provides communication and leadership to align work and present updates to management.
• Develops engineering solutions for recurring failures affecting operations.
• Updates and creates drawings of equipment layouts and process flows based on observations.
• Coordinates with vendors and sub-contractors to define project scope, budget, and scheduling.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

1. 1. Leads and manages large scale projects from concepts to implementation; works with cross-functional groups to provide value added engineering and optimum solutions to meet business objectives.
2. 2. Designs new processes and production layouts that will challenge our current manufacturing process to continually improve.
3. 3. Provides communication and leadership to ensure the work is aligned and goals are achieved, communicates and presents project updates to the management team.
4. 4. Develops engineering solutions for repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect our manufacturing operations.
5. 5. Updates and creates drawings of equipment layouts, flow of process, building structure and utilities based on observation and interpretation on engineering plans.
6. 6. Works with vendors and sub-contractors to determine project scope, budget and scheduling.

Job Requirements

1. 1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field is preferred.
2. 2. 5+ years of experience working in a process manufacturing environment is required.
3. 3. An understanding of lean manufacturing with regard to equipment layout and process flow.
4. 4. 5+ years leading/managing complex capital plant projects with a proven track record is required.
5. 5. Proficiency with reading and producing AutoCAD drawings required.
6. 6. Experience in a refrigerated food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
7. 7. Must have working knowledge of building/construction processes as well as an understanding of rules, regulations and quality standards in a construction environment.
8. 8. Ability to travel throughout North America.

Working Conditions

1. 2. Travel up to 50% of the time dependent upon certain projects.
2. 3. Business demands may require evening and/or weekend scheduling.

This position is eligible for a bonus based on company goals/performance.
