Job summary

Haleon plc. in the United States (Puerto Rico) is seeking a Cost Control Capital professional to partner with management on capital strategies, develop financial plans, and maintain fiscal controls across the capital portfolio.

You will monitor CAPEX, support budgeting and reporting, manage costs and investments, and ensure GAAP compliance while coordinating with regional and site teams to drive accurate, timely financial insights.

Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting or equivalent
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • Minimum of five years financial management experience
  • Experience leading a financial/accounting team
  • Subject matter expert in cost accounting and capital management
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and Sierra systems
  • Ability to analyze investments and provide sound financial recommendations
  • Ability to establish and maintain efficient control processes
  • Project management skills for end-to-end initiatives
  • Strong planning and forecasting capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Capex budget and CMF planning with weekly/monthly reporting
  • Support development of finance business partnering
  • ePIP System administration for capital projects approvals
  • Monitor financial results and produce timely GAAP-compliant reports
  • Handle capital purchases and invoicing resolution
  • Asset management including capitalization, disposal, and documentation
  • Perform month-end closing with WBS cost allocation and accruals
  • Maintain communications with regions, sites, and units
  • Provide input on investments and implementation plans
  • Maintain safe and healthy working environment and compliance

About the role

The Cost Control Capital is responsible for performing finance partnering activities at a management level to support strategy and decision making with critical business insights, Capital Activities. The Cost Control Capital is also responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the financial plans and policies of the capital organization. It is also in charge of establishing fiscal controls, preparing financial reports, maintaining relations with investment and banking communities, advising management on financial affairs and assisting the entity in long-range planning.

Role Responsibilities
  • CAPEX Budget/CMF Planning and reporting on a weekly/monthly base to site and NA
  • Supporting development of a strong Finance Business Partnering organization
  • ePIP System Administrator (Capital projects approval system)
  • Monitor financial results and analyze trends and establish produce timely and accurate financial reports. Also ensure reporting in accordance with GAAP/Regulatory Agencies and corporate policies.
  • Capital Purchases and Capital invoices resolution Support.
  • AUC Monitoring and control preparation
    • Assets creations and capitalizations
    • Asset creation documentation gathering, approvals and controls.
    • Capitalization and close out documentation gathering, approvals and controls.
    • Asset Disposals/transfers/impairs/Idle, documentation gathering approvals and memo or tickets submission (Legacy NOEMS)
  • Capital month end closing activities with WBS analysis for correct cost allocation and accruals. Contracted and colleagues Resources allocation to WBS.
  • Maintain high level of communications with Region/Operating Unit and Site.
  • Provide input on investments and implementation plans.
  • Provide the appropriate level of commitment and direction and take responsibility for maintaining a safe and healthy working environment in the areas under their control and for risks that may adversely affect the environment or cause loss and comply with all relevant EHS policies, EHS Standards, permits, local/federal laws and regulations.
Basic Qualifications
  • BS Major in Accounting (4-year degree)
  • Preferred CPA, CMA certification (or local equivalent)
  • Five (5) years' Financial Management experience
  • Prefer experience in managing a financial / accounting group.
  • Subject Matter Expert in cost accounting and capital management accounts.
  • In depth knowledge in financial systems such as SAP and Sierra, MS office.
  • Capable to analyze results, investments, studies and make sound financial recommendation.
  • Ability to establish and maintain efficient control process.
  • Ability to manage project from beginning to end. Ability to use project management tools.
  • Develops short- and long-term plans that are comprehensive, realistic, and effective.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Drives the development and execution of business strategy to achieve both short and long-term performance.
  • Optimizes both profit and competitive standing while incorporating the corporate vision, values, the market, and customer needs.
  • Sets future projections.
  • Good verbal and writing skills in English and Spanish.
