Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a contribution-motivated Project Manager to lead multi-discipline teams delivering capital improvement projects at our Wichita, KS sites. The role offers a hybrid work model with travel ~25% and relocation eligibility.

You will drive front-end loading, secure funding, and manage scope, schedule, and cost across projects from $500k to $100M+, collaborating with plant personnel, leadership, and external partners. Eligible for relocation.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of plant experience in ammonia, refining, energy, chemicals, or closely related industry with exposure to supporting capital projects
  • 2+ years of project management experience in a related industry
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline or construction management
  • 5+ years of experience in project/construction management, planning, or execution coordination
  • This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support multiple small to large size capital improvement projects (approximately $500k to $100M+) in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner to improve unit/plant operations.
  • Facilitate cross-discipline teams with plant personnel, business development, executive leadership, and other internal and external partners through the Project Process to define objectives, develop scope, and implement project executions plans to design, install, and commission key projects.
  • Guide the integrated project team to perform disciplined front end loading, secure funding, and execute projects in a way that delivers project objectives.
  • Steward competitive cost, schedule, and quality while capturing key business bets through application of economic thinking and Koch’s Decision-Making Framework
  • Develop and maintain Koch’s project culture
  • Communicate effectively and recognize opportunities for value creation and business improvements
  • Manage multiple projects in various stages in the project life cycle
  • Support knowledge sharing and training within the Operations Services team to develop and further enhance team-members' technical skills

Job description

Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is looking for a contribution-motivated individual for a Project Manager role in our Operations Services team who will lead multi-discipline project teams to implement improvement projects in our industrial fertilizer and methanol manufacturing facilities. These projects range in size and complexity, but generally consist of asset replacements, safety/stewardship projects, or debottlenecking/growth projects.

The Operations Services team is primarily located in Wichita, KS and supports multiple projects at KAES sites. This role will be based in Wichita and is eligible for relocation.

Travel is 25% with increased travel during outages or turnaround events. Travel is flexible depending on needs at the business/site and is largely controlled by the individual. This role offers a hybrid working model.

The project management capability leverages project processes, the knowledge, and skills of our Ops Services team to deliver superior projects. As a centralized project capability, we have the opportunity to work with different project teams on a wide variety of projects that helps our team members rapidly develop and increase our ability to contribute to our business.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 2+ years of plant experience in an ammonia, refining, energy, chemicals, or closely related industry with exposure to supporting capital projects

OR

  • 2+ years of project management experience in a related industry

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline or construction management
  • Experience managing multiple small to medium capital projects
