Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, a global Am Law 50 firm, is seeking a mid-level Capital Markets Associate to join our Corporate Practice Group. This position can be based in any of our US offices.

Responsibilities include handling 33 and 34 Act matters, capital markets transactions, IPOs and follow-ons, high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, private placements, governance, SEC reporting and exchange listing matters.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience advising issuers and underwriters on capital markets financings and SEC reporting matters.
• Strong client-relations skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Bar admission in the state where applying.

Responsibilities

• Advise issuers and underwriters on capital markets financings and ongoing governance/SEC reporting.
• Work on IPOs, follow-ons, high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, and private placements.
• Handle SEC reporting and exchange listing matters; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships under time pressures.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience advising issuers and underwriters on capital markets financings and ongoing governance/SEC reporting matters
• Confidence managing day-to-day client relationships
• Strong organizational skills and remarkable attention to detail are required
• Operating under time pressures and still acting as a collaborative team player while handling and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines is an essential need for this role
• Candidates must be admitted to the bar in the state in which they are applying

The annual salary range for this position is $260,000-$365,000.
