Job summary

City Of South Fulton is seeking a Facility Project Manager to lead capital improvement projects in South Fulton, GA, guiding design, bidding, contract work and construction oversight. The role reports to the General Services Director and ensures projects stay on time and within scope.

You will coordinate engineers, architects, and contractors, monitor budgets, prepare bid documents, and maintain compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, with six years of experience in commercial building projects and four years of direct construction project management.
• Licensed Architect in GA, or Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience considered; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and prepares facility services and construction specifications, bid documents, pre-bid and pre-construction conferences.
• Drafts RFPs, negotiates contracts, and administers contracts for consultants and contractors.
• Monitors budgets and expenditures, and recommends change orders as needed.
• Develops budgets, tracks grants and reimbursements, and prepares financial reports.
• Keeps data systems and records for project progress and compliance with regulations.
• Communicates project status to staff and stakeholders and coordinates meetings.
