Job summary

YES Communities, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager, Capital in Denver, CO to lead capital asset accounting, depreciation, and home inventory processes.

You will drive month-end close, strengthen internal controls, and partner with Operations, Development, Tax, and Sales to support capital initiatives. The role requires 5+ years in accounting with GAAP proficiency, fixed asset and inventory experience, and ERP exposure (Yardi/MRI).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, including capitalization policies, depreciation methods, and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting, cost accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee capitalization, depreciation, disposals, asset audits, and asset subledgers.
• Manage Capital Asset Request process to facilitate approvals.
• Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for capital and home inventory accounting.
• Account for new and used homes including purchases, refurbishment costs, and disposals.
• Lead month-end close for asset- and home-related accounting and related schedules.
• Develop and enforce internal controls for asset tracking and safeguarding company property.
• Prepare and review home roll-forwards, capital spend reporting, and related management reports.
• Partner with Operations, Development, Sales, Tax, and Finance to ensure data accuracy and support decisions.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for internal and external audits.
