Clearbrook Group Services Inc. is seeking a Capital Analyst to support regulatory (BSCR) and rating agency capital models.

The role collaborates with ERM, Finance, actuarial, and risk functions to deliver analyses, reports, and capital insights used in strategic decision-making across Clearbrook. The position is a 100% in-office role based in Omaha, NE, with flexibility to consider Albany, NY, New York, NY, or Chicago, IL offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in insurance, financial analysis, capital modeling, or risk management.
• Exposure to regulatory capital frameworks (BSCR, Solvency II or similar) preferred.
• Experience supporting credit rating agency capital models (S&P, AM Best, Fitch) preferred.
• Progress toward insurance, actuarial, or accounting qualifications is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret financial and capital model outputs and communicate insights effectively.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; modeling tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Bermuda Solvency filings (Argo Group and Argo Re) with focus on completeness and timelines.
• Own components of the BSCR process including data prep, validation, and documentation.
• Assist in Bermuda Monetary Authority filings (e.g., GSSA) to articulate solvency position.
• Support capital models for rating agencies, coordinating data requests and responses.
• Analyze outputs to identify drivers of change in capital metrics.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, including senior management.
• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Actuarial, and Ceded Reinsurance teams for inputs and validation.
• Communicate capital insights and respond to routine internal queries.
• Contribute to ad hoc capital scenario analyses for Board/management needs.
• Maintain working knowledge of BSCR and rating agency model components.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality and process efficiency.

Job Description Business Title(s): Capital Analyst Employment Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Location: In-office Summary: The Capital Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery and ongoing development of regulatory (BSCR) and credit rating agency (S&P, AM Best, Fitch) capital models. Working in close collaboration with the Capital Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Finance, and other cross-functional teams, this role contributes to the analysis, reporting, and interpretation of capital results used to support business decision-making across Clearbrook.

We are looking for a candidate to work from our Omaha, NE office. Alternatively, we are open to filling this role in our Albany, NY, New York, NY, or Chicago, IL office as well.

The position plays a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate production of capital outputs, providing insights into solvency positions and capital trends, and supporting the broader capital management strategy at both Group and legal entity levels. Regular collaboration with stakeholders across actuarial, finance, ceded reinsurance, and risk functions is an integral component of the role. This is a 100% in-office position. Candidates must be able to work on-site at a designated company office during standard business hours.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation and coordination of annual and quarterly Bermuda Solvency filings (Argo Group and Argo Re), ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to timelines.
• Take ownership of assigned components of the BSCR process, including data preparation, validation, and documentation.
• Contribute to the preparation of Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) regulatory filings (e.g., GSSA), supporting the development of a clear and well-articulated view of the Group’s solvency position.
• Support the execution and maintenance of capital models for rating agencies (S&P, AM Best, Fitch), including coordination of data requests and responses to information queries.
• Assist in analyzing outputs and identifying drivers of change across rating agency capital metrics.
• Analyze capital model outputs to support understanding of solvency position, capital adequacy, and risk tolerance metrics.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and supporting materials for internal stakeholders, including senior management.
• Partner with Risk, Finance, Actuarial, and Ceded Reinsurance teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and support capital-related processes.
• Communicate capital-related insights and respond to routine queries from internal stakeholders.
• Support the execution of ad hoc capital scenario analysis (e.g., BSCR 'what-if' scenarios) to assess potential impacts on capital and solvency metrics in support of Board and management requirements.
• Maintain working knowledge of BSCR and rating agency model components and processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, process efficiency, and documentation.

The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

Omaha and Albany Pay Range: $78,300.00 - $92,200.00 Chicago Pay Range: $86,000.00 - $101,500.00 New York City Pay Range: $94,000.00 - $110,500.00
