Overview

Multi-family residential property management company is seeking someone with an accounting/finance degree to work within the CAPEX team. Remote/Hybrid. Required to come to office twice a month. Would like the candidate to live in and around Houston, TX. $105,000 plus bonus. Foster environment of teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and support review of CAPEX project contracts.
  • Serve as project management software (Banner) administrator, maximizing tool functionality and usage.
  • Manage casualty claim process and serve as point of contact to include managing critical timeline from the onset, compiling data from site teams, validating data to accounting records, submitting data to insurance adjusters, and following up until claim is closed.
  • Oversee and manage the monthly CAPEX/Construction Management Fee process.
  • Oversee and manage lender loan agreements and draw process while maintaining compliance with lender.
  • Support annual CAPEX budget planning.
  • Provide due diligence and support CAPEX budget creation for new acquisitions.
  • Support team by adhering to deadlines and maintaining various tracking tools.
  • Participate in documenting and maintaining policies, processes, and procedures (PPP) to ensure consistency and efficiency in accounting and finance operations.
  • Serve as backup for client communications as needed.
  • Assist the Director and other team members with various tasks and projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Prior experience, minimum three years, with progressive accounting experience in a team lead/supervisor capacity.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communications skills.
  • Ability to work with a team, providing guidance and focusing attention on details, to complete projects.
  • Experience organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing team and individual work to meet various objectives and initiatives.
  • Advanced experience in Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables, etc.) required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams environments required.
  • Experience with Banner Software preferred.
  • Multifamily software experience (Yardi, Entrata, RealPage) a plus.
  • Knowledge of multifamily real estate and property management a plus.
