Role Overview:
This role serves within the Operator Certification and Capacity Development Section of the Drinking Water Branch. The position functions as an environmental manager responsible for coordinating, managing, reviewing, and organizing a variety of drinking water programs and program elements. The role provides technical expertise, guidance, and regulatory interpretation to public water systems, government officials, attorneys, consultants, and staff. It supports Revised Total Coliform Rule compliance, develops and improves guidance and policies, conducts program studies, responds to public inquiries, and provides outreach, education, and technical assistance. The role also includes project management, plan review, inspections, sampling support, technical analysis, and frequent field-based responsibilities. The position requires broad environmental knowledge, independent judgment, and effective communication to protect public health and ensure regulatory compliance. A valid driver's license is required.
