How You’ll Contribute and Develop Own Substantive Research
  • Lead end-to-end investment research projects that reward curiosity, intellectual discipline, and strong communication.
  • You’ll frame questions, conduct deep analysis, develop your perspective, and present well‑supported conclusions to experienced investors.
  • Develop Through Practice: Strengthen your analytical reasoning, investigative approach, judgment, and communication skills through hands‑on research, close collaboration with investor mentors, and targeted development sessions.
  • Learn Alongside Experienced Investors: Work closely with analysts and portfolio managers to understand how rigorous inquiry, qualitative and quantitative analyses, and independent thinking contribute to investment decisions.
  • Join a Global Community of Thinkers: Join a small, high‑caliber cohort of Associates across London, Los Angeles, and Singapore united by intellectual curiosity and an interest in investing.
Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from undergraduate or master’s (non‑MBA) students in their final year of study and those with up to one year of related experience after graduation. When we hire for CAP, we look for potential. Strong candidates demonstrate:

  • Analytical Rigor and Learning Agility: The ability to absorb new ideas quickly, interrogate assumptions, work through complex problems, and develop well‑supported insights.
  • Academic Excellence: A record of consistently strong academic achievement (preferred GPA 3.7+). Quantitative skills, double majors, minors, interdisciplinary study and intellectual exploration are valued.
  • Adaptability and High Performance: Comfort navigating ambiguity, openness to feedback, and a track record of pursuing demanding goals across academics, work, leadership, or independent interests.
  • Collaborative Leadership: The ability to lead, influence, listen, and contribute within teams across academic, professional, or extracurricular settings.
  • An Investing Mindset: Demonstrated curiosity about investing and a genuine interest in developing a long‑term career as an investor.
  • A Distinctive Perspective: Experiences, interests, expertise, or ways of thinking that can contribute to differentiated investment insight.
Compensation & Benefits

Southern California Base Salary Range: $90,440-$144,704.

Competitive compensation package. Support for relocation and housing (where applicable). Access to Capital Group’s resources, culture, and global community.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.

Temporary positions in the United States are excluded from the above mentioned compensation and benefit plans.
