Job summary

Solidarity Strategies is hiring canvassers in Brownsville, TX. This entry-level field role involves going door-to-door, sharing information about the campaign, and recording conversations with MiniVAN. Flexible schedules and paid training are provided.

Starting as a temporary campaign position, both full-time and part-time shifts are available, including evenings and weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S. Training before field work.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in Texas heat and walk long distances.
• Smartphone data entry and navigation proficiency.
• Campaign/nonprofit experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Go door-to-door in assigned neighborhoods.
• Talk with voters and share information about the campaign and the election.
• Accurately collect and record data using MiniVAN.
• Submit daily reports and check in with your supervisor.
• Represent the campaign professionally and respectfully.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Field Director or Field Organizers.

At Solidarity Strategies, we are committed to electing Democrats and driving progressive change through grassroots organizing and one-on-one conversations with voters.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring passionate, outgoing, and reliable canvassers to join our field team in Brownsville, TX. As a canvasser, you will talk with voters at their doors, share information about the campaign, and record your conversations using tools like MiniVAN.

This is an entry-level position, and no prior experience is required. Paid training is provided. Flexible schedules and multiple shifts are available.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Go door-to-door in assigned neighborhoods

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 18 years or older

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Must have a smartphone with mobile data and access to apps

• Access to reliable transportation

• Flexible availability: 12+ hours per week

• Must complete paid program training before beginning field work
