Job summary

Food & Water Watch in Allentown, PA seeks a Stop Data Centers Canvass Director to run a canvass operation educating Lehigh Valley residents about data centers. The role reports to the Political Director and supports Pennsylvania organizing teams in a full-time temporary capacity through November 6, 2026.

Salary ranges from $54,200 to $71,800 depending on experience. Based in Lehigh County, this position starts ASAP with remote canvassing and field trainings as needed; vaccination policy applies

Qualifications

• At least one election cycle canvassing and/or organizing experience.
• Familiarity with VAN or a similar voter database tool.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire canvassers; publicize applications and follow up with applicants.
• Train canvassers to conduct effective canvassing conversations.
• Cutting and assigning turf using VAN; create walk lists to maximize conversations.
• Analyze canvasser performance with VAN reports and petitions.
• Quality control of data to maximize success and minimize errors.
• Schedule and track hours; ensure timely payment with Finance.
• Canvass; complete at least one shift weekly.
• Manage logistics; daily transportation plans and meetup locations.
