Job summary

Rapport International in Lincoln, NE seeks qualified in-person interpreters (Cantonese) to serve local clients. This independent contractor role requires full bilingual ability, strong communication, medical terminology familiarity, and reliable transportation to attend appointments.

You must be comfortable with HIPAA confidentiality, have access to a printer, and use our online portal for vouchers. Scheduling is PRN with some weekday availability, and prior interpreting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/ HIPAA compliance
• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.

Responsibilities
