Job summary

P4 Companies in Illinois seeks a Security Officer to support site security and customer service obligations. You will perform security duties per post orders, conduct timely patrols, and log incidents clearly to assist site management.

The role involves a Sunday shift 7am-1:30pm and a Wednesday/Thursday 7am-8:30pm schedule, with duties including reporting, coordinating with supervisors, and maintaining attendance and service standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Security or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to write effective, concise, and legible reports.
• Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Successfully obtain a PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card), which can be obtained post-hire.

Responsibilities

Job description

Schedule: Sunday 7am-1:30pm & Wednesday/Thursday 7am-8:30pm

The employee will be responsible for:

• Executing security services as they are outlined in the post order manual and accompanying policy and procedural guidelines as directed by P4.


• Standing/Sitting for extended periods of time


• Foot Patrols on the interior or exterior of the facility


• Performing assigned duties regardless of inclement weather in a safe and effective manner.


• Identifying and reporting security threats, unsafe conditions, or hazards, and/or other emergency situations.


• Site-specific duties and tasks based on assignment, which may include customer service, loss prevention, retail security, lobby/visitor reception, loading dock security, crowd control, and/or a variety of other safety and security roles.


• Writing detailed, accurate, and legible incident reports during shift, including notation of any unusual activities and how issues were resolved.


• Contacting appropriate individuals (site supervisors, field management, etc.) as directed by site post orders or as needed during shift.


• Following all company procedures and policies, maintaining acceptable attendance, and adhering to all customer service standards.


• Participating in all mandatory company and site orientation and training programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
