Job summary

King City Gardens is hiring a Quality Control Technician to inspect materials and products, document defects, and ensure compliance with cannabis regulations. The role emphasizes accurate data reporting, adherence to SOPs, and collaboration with leadership to drive continuous improvement.

The position is full-time, on-site, with a pay rate of $23.50 per hour and a schedule of Monday through Friday, 4pm–1am.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail with ability to identify product defects and count data accurately.
• Strong verbal communication to collaborate with team and follow instructions.
• Solid problem-solving to identify issues and propose solutions in production.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and quality systems.
• Able to adapt to shifting priorities and evolving production needs.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
• Understanding of manufacturing conditions to ensure safe, high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and packaged products for compliance with specs and regulations.
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, and product specifications.
• Approve or reject products to maintain regulatory and company quality standards.
• Identify and categorize product defects and write accurate records.
• Record quality-related data every two hours and communicate trends to leadership.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify errors and drive process improvements.
• Report quality concerns with detailed notes and documentation when needed.
• Support corrective actions and GMP-compliant practices.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstation; follow GMPs.
• Assist with product testing and evaluation of new processes as needed.
