Job summary

DreamFields is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support the Quality Control Supervisor at DreamFields New York. You will inspect products, track defects, and ensure containment of quality risks so only compliant products move forward in manufacturing or distribution.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, documenting results, and collaborating with QC/Production teams to drive improvements while maintaining GMP and sanitary conditions in a cannabis production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Quality control/assurance experience preferred, cannabis industry ideal.
• Experience with accurate and timely data reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect or test products to ensure standards; includes raw materials to finished goods.
• Review and follow SOPs, work instructions, and specifications.
• Pass or reject products to ensure compliance; categorize defects; track rework/rejections.
• Document inspection results with counts and data; real-time entry.
• Raise red flags and communicate quality/compliance issues clearly.
• Communicate with QC Supervisor/Production Leads to reduce errors and improve processes.
• Properly use and maintain QC equipment; keep workstation sanitary.
• Be receptive to coaching and feedback from QC leadership.
• Support execution and documentation of product tests or experiments.
