Job summary

Verano in Suffolk, VA is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join its cannabis retail operations. You will check patient certifications, review physician recommendations, and dispense medical cannabis medication while ensuring compliance and patient safety.

You will provide individualized consultations with the physician’s guidance, manage inventory and oversee audits, and collaborate with management to maintain accurate records in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD with full licensure in Virginia.
• Virginia licensing transfer via UMPJE pathway may apply.
• 2–5 years’ experience in pharmacy or dispensing.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn cannabinoids and their effects on the human body.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including officials, staff, patients.

Responsibilities

• Check patient certifications via the online portal.
• Review physician recommendations and dispense medical cannabis medication.
• Provide individualized patient consultations with the physician’s guidance.
• Maintain inventory control and rotate medicine as needed.
• Submit the prescription state monitoring program.
• Record removal of damaged and outdated medicine (Greenwaste).
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with management to ensure accurate inventory logs.
• Support leadership during audits.
• Other duties as assigned.
