Job summary

US Cannalytics in Warren, Michigan, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support cannabis testing operations within Michigan's medical and adult-use cannabis industry. You will handle samples, document data, and ensure compliance with state regulations.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a regulated lab. Training will cover LIMS usage, SOPs, and quality control procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of laboratory experience or 1+ year with skills assessment
• Experience with laboratory documentation, data entry, and compliance procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Perform sample handling, preparation, and documentation for cannabis and cannabis products
• Record laboratory data accurately, including sample weights, volumes, and QC results
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and SOPs
• Utilize LIMS for data entry and tracking
• Support sample intake, accessioning, and non-analytical testing like moisture content and foreign material analysis
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and materials per established procedures
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance
• Conduct daily instrument checks and assist with troubleshooting
• Maintain GDP for laboratory records
• Maintain inventory of supplies and reagents
• Assist with method validation, verification, and proficiency testing
• Perform cannabis sampling and transport as required
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE
