Dogtopia Portland is seeking an energetic, organized Canine Coach to lead our playroom and ensure a safe, joyful environment for dogs of all sizes and breeds. You will supervise groups, maintain cleanliness, and deliver friendly customer service while upholding our care standards.

You will learn breed identification, monitor behavior, and collaborate with teammates to uphold top-tier canine care. Must love dogs, stand for long periods, and be flexible with weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must love dogs.
• Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing.
• Ability to work flexible days and hours, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the playroom for our furry friends by creating a safe and fun environment.
• Maintain control of large groups of dogs.
• Keep playrooms clean of messes at all times (mopping, sweeping, trash, water refill).
• Be proactive in ensuring dogs are always in a clean and safe environment.
• Perform meal prep with little or no guidance.
• Store daycare and boarding belongings properly with correct labels.
• Bathe and nail clip when needed (training is provided).
• Learn how to identify dog breeds and behaviors.
• Report dog scuffles right when they occur for safe wound cleaning if needed.
• Work with team to assure our quality of care sets the standards for dog care.
• Care for all furry friends as if they were part of your family.
• Engage, play, and enjoy the furry friends.
• Understand our Dogtopia-isms.
