Job summary

Dogtopia in San Marcos, CA is seeking energetic individuals to join our dog daycare team. You will help maintain order in large playgroups, keep playrooms clean, and support meal prep and basic grooming tasks.

Candidates must love dogs and be comfortable standing most of the day, with flexibility for weekends and holidays. We emphasize a fun, fast-paced environment and opportunities to learn dog care skills and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must love dogs.
• Ability to stand up to 100% of shift time.
• Ability to work flexible days, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to work cohesively with others in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of large groups of dogs.
• Keep playrooms clean of messes at all times.
• Clean by mopping, sweeping, taking out trash and refilling water.
• Ensure dogs are always in a clean and safe environment.
• Meal prep with minimal guidance.
• Label and store daycare and boarding belongings properly.
• Bathed and nail clip when needed (training provided).
• Learn dog breeds and behaviors.
• Report dog scuffles promptly for safe wound care.
• Collaborate with the team to uphold quality of care.
• Care for all dogs as if they were family.
• Engage, play, and enjoy the dogs.

About this position

What you'll do

• Maintain control of large groups of dog
• Keeping playrooms clean of messes at all times
• Cleaning includes mopping, sweeping, trash, and water refill
• Being proactive in making sure dogs are always in a clean and safe environment is key!
• Able to perform meal prep with little or no guidance
• Stores daycare and boarding belongings properly with correct labels
• Bathe and nail clip when needed (training is proved)
• Learn how to identify dog breeds and behaviors
• Report dog scuffles right when they occur for safe wound cleaning if needed
• Work with team to assure our quality of care sets the standards for dog care
• Caring for all furry friends as if they were a part of your family
• Engage, play, and enjoy the furry friends!

Compensation: $16.90 hourly
