Job summary

Metronome, LLC is looking for a skilled CANES Platform Lead to coordinate the procurement and installation of Tactical Networks systems on new aircraft carriers. Title

CANES Platform Lead

Location

Hybrid-site billet located in San Diego, CA. Less than 25% CONUS travel is anticipated.

Experience

Minimum of six (6) years of experience supporting the engineering of IT systems, IT production coordination, project management, or related defense roles in support of DoD or Government Agency, as well as the specific LCAT experience requirements the candidate is proposed under. See additional specific position requirements below.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; field in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science desired.

Description

Coordinate funding, procurement, delivery and installation of Tactical Networks systems on new construction aircraft carriers. Responsibilities include:

  • Identify SCN funding and develop initial 7300 financial documents, spend plans, and independent government cost estimates (IGCE)
  • Coordinate procurement of all hardware and software and ensure delivery by required in yard dates
  • Develop statements of work and requirements for product installation teams
  • Develop and deliver platform update presentations to high level stakeholders
  • Facilitate answering requests for information from various stakeholders regarding the system design
  • Maintain SCN platform milestones charts and SCN fielding plans
  • Investigating and resolving issues that span multiple applications/technologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple organizations
  • Review of daily status reports (DSRs) concerning the shipboard loadout and coordinating support for issues, as necessary
Additional Position-Specific Required Qualifications
  • Experience with the installation of Navy Networks on new construction Navy afloat platforms
  • Experience supporting Navy Systems Commands and Acquisition/Integration Program Offices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to independently execute tasking
  • Strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in field in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Ability to develop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainability
