Qualifications

• Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job.
• Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a customer service oriented way.
• Demonstrated knowledge of biomedical research.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician in maintaining the PI's laboratory operations.
• Promotes a positive work environment and leads the team to achieve department results.
• Models effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication including active listening and coaching.
• Contributes to department engagement through peer-to-peer accountability.
• Develops research methods and performs research activities.
• Documents research results and writes reports for publication.
• Follows safety rules and addresses hazards in the workplace.
• Manages time and prioritizes tasks to achieve results.
