Job summary

The Research Assistant (RA) position at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill provides general support for cancer epidemiology projects focused on reducing health disparities in North Carolina. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Previous research experience in epidemiologic cancer research is preferred.
• Strong organization and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day research study activities in support of ongoing cancer epidemiology studies.
• Collect telephone, mail-in, and electronic participant survey data and assist with data tracking.
• Manage participant informed consent, medical record release forms, and tumor block consents.
• Monitor protocols related to medical records data collection and reporting results to the supervisor.
• Assist with tracking medical records for abstraction and with collection of biological specimens.
