The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of North Texas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Cancer Biology. The successful candidate will lead an independent research program, collaborate across campus, mentor students and postdocs, and teach at undergraduate and graduate levels while seeking external funding.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required in Biological Sciences or related field.
• Experience in cancer biology research is preferred.
• Record of scholarship and potential for external funding is expected.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in cancer biology and related disciplines.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
• Develop and sustain an externally funded research program and publish in high-impact journals.
• Collaborate with colleagues across UNT and interdisciplinary institutes.
