Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas is seeking a Research Assistant I to provide technical support for cellular and membrane biology research related to cancer and immunity. You will work under supervision to support laboratory studies, data collection, animal research activities, and routine operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Natural Science or Applied Science required or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: experience with mammalian cell culture, aseptic technique, fluorescence microscopy, mouse handling, flow cytometry, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mammalian cell lines and primary cultures using aseptic technique.
• Prepare media, buffers, and reagents for experiments.
• Perform cell thawing, passaging, counting, seeding, and cryopreservation.
• Conduct cell-based assays, image-based experiments, and data analysis.
• Support mouse studies and keep accurate records for IACUC-compliant work.
