Ozarks Coca-Cola-Dr Pepper Bottling Company seeks an operator for the Can De-Palletizer to support production quality and efficiency on the packaging line.

You will follow SOPs for packaging, changeovers, preventive maintenance and sanitation while complying with GMP and food safety requirements. Prior forklift certification and safety-conscious mindset are essential for success and career growth in this role.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience: high school diploma or equivalent; one year work experience preferred.
  • Language: read, analyze, interpret reports and follow work instructions.
  • Mathematical: basic math to determine shell quantities.
  • Reasoning: solve practical problems with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the Can De-Palletizer equipment and maintain production efficiency.
  • Adhere to start-up and end-of-run procedures and changeovers.
  • Record lot codes for traceability and verify can supply to the filler.
  • Maintain safe, clean work area and follow GMP and sanitation standards.
  • Meet productivity requirements and comply with company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and support safety initiatives.

Description

SUMMARY:

Responsible for operating the Can De-Palletizer equipment at levels of beverage quality and production efficiency as determined by management. Can De-Palletizer operators will be required to operate and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for packaging, changeovers, preventive maintenance, and sanitation of area. All aspects and requirements of GMP and Food Safety are included.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
  • Physical handling of production packaging materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Adhere to startup / end of run procedures, packaging responsibilities and changeovers.
  • Operating the equipment required for the De-Palletizer operator.
  • Recording of package lot codes to ensure traceability requirements.
  • Verify correct can is being supplied to the can filler.
  • Maintain machine speed at optimum operating levels.
  • Adhere to good manufacturing and safety standards.
  • Responsible for meeting productivity requirements.
  • Maintain orderly and clean work area to comply with Company safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions supplied in both written and verbal format. Close attention to detail required to verify product.

Repetitive use of the hands/arms/shoulders required in completing required work. Bend and rotate at the waist 45 degrees with full arm extension. Climb a ladder having multiple steps while carrying various weights up to multiple times per hour.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (typical production work environment). The floors of the production area are smooth, however are often wet and slippery. Can De-Palletizer operators will be performing most of their work on the Can De-Palletizer area. Moderate stress may be created by the fast pace of the production operations. Employee will be required to wear safety shoes/boots and glasses while on duty.
