Job summary

Sodexo at Stevenson University is seeking a Utility Worker to support kitchen and facility operations, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in food production and service areas. You will help with cleaning, organizing, and basic setup/breakdown tasks as needed, with flexibility across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash to designated areas.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Significant walking or other mobility required.
• Walk or stand for extended periods, potentially over 8 hours per shift.
• Lift up to 35 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
