Job summary

The University of North Georgia seeks a licensed mental health professional to serve as a Staff Therapist within Student Counseling Services. This position provides comprehensive clinical services to a diverse student population, including intake assessments, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, and outreach programming.

The Staff therapist will collaborate with campus partners to promote mental health awareness while supporting the university's mission through

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited program; Georgia licensure as a professional counselor, social worker, or marriage and family is required.
• Current full licensure in Georgia as a professional counselor, social worker, or marriage and family.
• Three years of therapy/counseling experience required.
• Preferred: experience in a college or university setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services, intake assessments, group therapy, and crisis intervention.
• Develop outreach, consultation, and prevention programming for campus partners.
• Supervise practicum students and interns; support educational outreach and after-hours programming.
• Facilitate workshops and leadership trainings on student mental health.
• Contribute to strategic planning and department initiatives; participate in BIT activities.
• Collaborate with campus partners to promote student well-being and safety.
