College of Southern Nevada Extension Campus Senator is a student worker role focused on promoting student life at extension sites, including committees, program administration, and student engagement. You will participate in required trainings and workshops while supporting campus initiatives.

The position requires enrollment in at least 6 credits per semester, meeting GPA thresholds, and completing scheduled training sessions; a commitment of weekly hours plus involvement in events is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
• Must register for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 coursework by specified deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve on at least 1 ASCSN Standing Committee and 2 Ad-hoc Committees.
• Approve By-Law legislation with two-thirds majority.
• Pass financial funding items with a simple majority.
• Override presidential veto with two-thirds supermajority.
• Deliver a brief presentation in 1 class each month about ASCSN Student Government.
• Dedicate 2 hours weekly to promote ASCSN events and student government.
• Spend remaining hours on committee assignments.
