Barnes & Noble College is hiring a Campus Store Team Member (Temporary) in Indiana. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, locating materials, operating the POS, and keeping a clean, organized sales floor to support daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule throughout the temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, convenience items, and other merchandise that best meets their needs.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to accurately process transactions, including cash, credit, and financial aid purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising, replenishment, recovery, and housekeeping.
• Support daily store operations by assisting with inventory, receiving merchandise, order fulfillment, and other operational tasks to keep the store customer-ready.
• Develop product knowledge by staying informed about merchandise, promotions, store services, and course materials to confidently assist customers.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to accomplish daily priorities while adapting to changing business needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store environment that reflects the Barnes & Noble College brand and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
