Job summary
Auburn University Facilities Management is seeking a detail-oriented Sign Technician to install, maintain, and remove campus signage across university property. You will work with vinyl plotters, engravers, and flat-bed printers to craft and install signage for directional, building, and ADA-related needs.
Responsibilities include site installs, tool use, safety compliance, and collaboration with a supportive team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required for Level I; experience preferred.
- Level II requires 3 years of signage installation/maintenance experience and licenses/certifications within 180 days.
Responsibilities
- Create signage using equipment such as vinyl plotter, engraver, and flat-bed printers.
- Installs signage on monument signs, door directories, building exteriors, and coroplast sheeting.
- Assists in preparing / installation of sheet marking paint on roadways and parking lots.
- Demonstrates advanced abilities to use hand and power tools.
- Demonstrates knowledge of ADA standards for interior and exterior signage and parking areas.
