Job summary

Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) is recruiting a Driver for the Facilities Management team at the Arnold/Main Campus. The role is hourly and temporary, with CDL and non-CDL options and in-person duties on campus.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, safe transportation of campus members, and adherence to fleet policies. Qualified applicants will have a Maryland license, strong customer service, and flexible availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• At least 5 years of driving experience.
• Must possess a current, valid Maryland driver's license; CDL with endorsement if required.
• Must authorize DMV record release and meet internal standards for driving authorization.
• Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to safely operate the assigned vehicle according to regulations.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; submit Vehicle Inspection Report and service hours.
• Provide safe transportation for students, faculty, staff and guests.
• Participate in periodic fleet service training sessions and meetings.
• Report incidents, accidents and traffic violations.
• Cooperate with the Incident Review Committee as needed.
• Do not use a cell phone while driving college vehicles.
• Comply with Fleet Services policies and procedures.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with all laws and not discredit the College.
• Provide passenger assistance as necessary.
• Ensure vehicle load/passenger counts are within capacity; drive in convoy when multi-vehicle travel occurs.
