Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Inland Empire Job Corps Center in San Bernardino, CA, where our staff provide quality services to local youth. We value our professional and caring employees and invite you to join our team.

The Security Officer will provide security coverage at the campus access gate, perform patrols, protect life and property, and ensure compliance with government and management directives. A valid Security Guard Card is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year experience with youth preferred.
• Security Guard Card required; CPR/First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide security coverage at campus access gate.
• Perform patrol duties to protect life and property.
• Adhere to all government and management directives.
• Follow security procedures for entry/exit of persons and vehicles.
• Advise students on behavior and safety.
• Monitor center grounds and surroundings for security issues.
• Secure buildings, vehicles and property; maintain logs.
• Assist in emergencies and evacuations; respond to alarms.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

1 year experience working with youth (preferred)
