Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard (Full Time Unarmed Patrol) for Norwalk, CT. The role includes patrolling campus buildings, monitoring access points, and providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

The position requires age 18+ for unarmed roles, a high school diploma or equivalent, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. A valid driver’s license is required for driving roles where applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate campus personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly educational environment while providing clear directions and support to campus visitors.
