Job summary

New Mexico State University—Las Cruces Police Department seeks a Police Department Support Services Coordinator to plan staffing and security for campus events, coordinate Reserve Officers, and develop prevention programs across the university.

You will lead security reviews for campus departments and prepare billing for services, while compiling reports on operations and outcomes. The role operates on an other shift schedule within a union environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.
• Associate degree and 4 years of experience or 6 years of experience.
• Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and develops staffing and security plans for all special events on the NMSU campus.
• Hiring, training, directing and coordinating Reserve Police Officers and Non-commissioned Traffic and Security Personnel.
• Conducting security reviews and surveys for Departments and Buildings on campus.
• Developing, coordinating and implementing crime prevention programs for the University Community.
• Develop and assemble security plans for all events on campus and assure they are carried out efficiently and effectively.
• Responsible for billing for Police Department services as special events, prepare billing documents, send to appropriate departments, create estimates for services.
• Compile, write, and present reports on operations, services, and outcomes.

Education
