Job summary

University of Oklahoma Health Sciences City Campus Police department is seeking Security Officers to serve the university mission by patrolling campus facilities and safeguarding students, faculty, and staff. This unarmed, non-commissioned public service role enforces university policy and supports emergency responders as needed.

As a security officer you will perform patrols, respond to emergencies, conduct building inspections, and coordinate with campus police to deter theft and vandalism

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• No experience required
• Valid Oklahoma Driver's License to drive University vehicles on campus or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date
• CLEET Security Certification or completed Phase 1 and/or Phase 2 to become certified

Responsibilities

• Perform patrols of the facility and grounds to identify safety and security problems and acts as a deterrent to theft and vandalism.
• Respond to disasters, fire, and emergencies. Provides care and first aid.
• Communicate and interface with university police or other emergency service providers in emergencies and for routine support.
• Make building security inspections, checking doors and windows.
• Perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
