Job summary

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living invites applications for a Plant Security Officer to help ensure the safety of residents, staff, and visitors. You will monitor campus premises, control access points, respond to alarms, and maintain a visible security presence across the campus.

Responsibilities include patrolling grounds, enforcing access, responding to emergencies, logging incidents, and providing courteous customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• California Guard Card (current and valid) required.
• Three years security guard experience preferred; healthcare experience a plus.
• Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or control room preferred.
• Strong ability to build rapport with residents, staff, visitors, and volunteers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; English literacy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Flexible schedule and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrance of employees and visitors to maintain campus security.
• Patrol grounds and perimeter; secure doors and windows.
• Control and enforce vehicle and pedestrian access on campus.
• Respond to alarms, elopement alerts, and fire alarms; take action.
• Assist during emergencies and contact responders as needed.
• Maintain daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Answer main telephone line when switchboard is closed.
• Monitor SOC cameras and dispatch responses to alarms and incidents.
• Provide high-level customer service and maintain a professional appearance.
