Job summary

University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer assigned to a specific Campus. You will patrol, respond to emergencies and document services on each shift, maintaining courteous and professional conduct at all times.

The role may require leading in violent or threatening situations after de-escalation attempts, including detaining or restraining individuals when necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Prior security or public safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrol duties on assigned campus.
• Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance.
• Document services provided on each shift with accuracy.
• Lead in controlling violent or threatening situations after de-escalation attempts, including detaining/restraint when necessary.
