Job summary

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is seeking a part-time Plant Security Officer to protect residents, staff and property across our Excelsior campus. You will patrol, monitor access, respond to alarms, and provide friendly, professional service while maintaining a safe environment.

The role emphasizes incident reporting, collaboration with local responders, and attentive customer service in a healthcare-adjacent setting. Requires CA Guard Card and HS diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current and valid California Guard Card required.
• Three years of security guard experience preferred; healthcare experience a plus.
• Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or control room preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance of employees, visitors and others to maintain campus security.
• Patrol grounds and perimeter; observe for safety hazards; secure doors and windows.
• Control and enforce vehicle and pedestrian access across campus.
• Respond to alarms, elopement alerts and fire alarms; investigate and act as needed.
• Assist during emergencies and contact emergency responders as required.
• Receive, inspect and sign for deliveries and mail.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports.
