Job summary

Fayetteville State University seeks a Property Security Officer for Student Affairs. This part-time, 32-hour or fewer per week position requires patrolling residence halls and the Rudolph Jones Student Center, enforcing access control, and reporting security events to the on‑duty supervisor.

The job supports campus safety in partnership with the university police. Hours include rotating days, evenings and nights, with weekend work and holidays.

Qualifications

• Need to patrol assigned areas and monitor access.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain records and write concise security reports.

Responsibilities

• Lock/unlock buildings per schedule and patrol campus areas.
• Respond to security incidents and report to supervisor.
• Provide non-emergency medical transport when required.
• Assist in enforcing campus policies and safeguarding property.
• Complete daily checks and maintenance of security equipment.
