Qualifications

• Must be a full-time police officer or have prior police experience with a state or municipal agency.
• One-year supervisory experience with a state or municipal agency preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Knowledge of state and municipal criminal statutes and arrest procedures.
• No criminal convictions.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of part-time security officers and assistants.
• Ensure staff adhere to District and department policies.
• Train staff to perform duties competently.
• Maintain posts, proper appearance, and presence at all times.
• Respond to alarms and service calls for appropriate actions.
• Inspect department equipment and report discrepancies.
• May write reports and testify in court as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
