Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) is recruiting for one part-time Buildings and Grounds Patrol Officer at Norwich Technical High School in Norwich, CT. The position offers a 10-month schedule with a 6:00 am to 1:30 pm shift, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for reporting and dispatch.
• Ability to think quickly and act with good judgment in emergencies is needed.

Responsibilities

• Enforces parking and traffic regulations and directs traffic on state property.
• Issues tickets for violations and provides information to visitors.
• Guards entrances and exits to prevent trespass and theft; conducts patrols.
• Provides security escorts and first aid when needed; assists in dispatching and record keeping.
